
Architectural and interior designer John Saladino passed away on Saturday, July 26 at the age of 86. Saladino was born in Kansas City, Missouri and is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame and the Yale School of Art and Architecture.
In 1972, the visionary started his full-service architectural, interior design, and landscape design firm, Saladino Design Group Inc. In 1986, he created Saladino Furniture Inc., whose showroom moved from the New York Design Center to Stamford, Connecticut a few years ago. He has designed furniture lines for Dunbar, Bloomingdale’s, and Baker, Knapp, and Tubbs. His projects included estates in the Hamptons and Palm Beach, a palace in Kuwait, a garden on a private island in Greece, and residential buildings in New York City.
