Tour Moulds Family Vineyard: Napa’s Most Expensive Residential Property on the Market

Vineyards in Napa radiate prestige, ease, and beauty. Someone affluent looking to dabble in winemaking can now scoop up a special one that just listed.

Created in 2000, Moulds Family Vineyard was founded by the late Steve and Betsy Moulds in the Oak Knoll District of Napa Valley. Apart from having a great location, the vineyard is known for its methods of sustainable farming and vineyard management. Betsy is ready to part ways with the picturesque spot, however, which is now the most expensive residential listing in Napa. It is seeking $25 million.

Coming to the market for the first time, the custom-built home came from the minds of architects Ed Keiner and John Kasten, builder Dale James, landscape architect Jack Chandler, and interior designer Erin Martin. Martin said that for the first time, she “was given free rein to run with [her] ideas,” making sure to tie the sophistication in the space to the expanse of wine country all around.

For all wine lovers, the 2002-built home kept space for entertaining at the forefront, holding almost 15,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor space for hosting. The property is split into a three-bedroom main house and a barn and guest house, which include two bedrooms each. Whether you opt for an intimate gathering or an at-home wine tasting in the barn, the over nine acres of surrounding Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc grapes set a stunning scene.

Other amenities include a wine cellar (of course), a 2,200-square-foot lana’i, and almost 57 acres of rolling greens. Close to San Francisco yet still in its own world, the estate is listed with Hillary Ryan of Sotheby’s International Realty.
