CEO of Restoration Hardware’s Former Napa Valley Stunner Lists for $9.9M

It’s not uncommon to walk into any RH location and want to move in. After all, who can resist the company’s iconically comfortable Cloud couch, their seemingly endless products made of natural materials, outdoor furnishings, and more? Well, this home in the Napa Valley once owned by  RH’s Chairman and CEO, Gary Friedman, gives you the feeling of stepping into an exotic, wine country RH Showhouse.

The St. Helena property was dubbed “Eight Palms” when Friedman owned it. Ad, it was the first RH Residence—that is a home designed and furnished by the RH Design Team. In 2016, Mr. Friedman completed a two-year renovation of the property’s interiors and exterior and fully outfitted it with RH’s own products. Friedman sold the property in 2017 and it is now on the market again, this time for $9,850,000.

While Friedman is not the current seller, the spread has maintained much of his vision, which was to give the home to full RH treatment. Indoor/outdoor living is front and center with an outdoor kitchen, gardens, and a pool and spa. Opposite the 5,140-square-foot main residence that totals five bedrooms and five-and-a-half bathrooms, a 630-square-foot guest house allows for privacy. The swimming pool sits between the two structures.

In recent years, other residences connected to Friedman have popped up on the market, such as a Beverly Hills home and a partially constructed L.A. mansion. To nab this property he perfected, get in touch with listing agent Hillary Ryan of Sotheby’s International Realty – St. Helena Brokerage.
