NBA Star Jeff Green Makes Slam-Dunk Sale to Part with His Custom Mansion Just South of Miami

NBA Houston Rockets forward Jeff Green just sold his custom-built home in Pinecrest, Florida (slightly south of Miami) for the high price of $15.5 million. While not a record-breaker, it does seem like a slam-dunk sale.

Green has played for 11 NBA teams over the course of his 18-season career, ultimately winning an NBA championship with the Denver Nuggets in 2023. He recently announced he plans to retire after this upcoming season, per an article published by Sports Illustrated. But, it’s clear he won’t be retiring at this modern mansion.

The basketball veteran purchased the lot for $1.4 million in 2017 and built the glamorous mansion, spanning 10,400 square feet, over a period of five years. Its white contemporary facade, complete with light wood accents and black windows, is anchored by a mature tree in the center of the motor court and surrounded by lush landscaping.

Heading inside, the architectural details match the exterior’s splendor, with natural stone and wood floors, custom millwork, walls of glass, and vaulted ceilings. The living room is accented by twin marble fireplaces with sharply veined surfaces and charcoal paneling. Nearby, the chef’s kitchen presents more glitzy allure. Its floor-to-ceiling wine racks and Sub-Zero & Wolf appliances will especially appeal to the new owner if they love to host. The huge home also provides a theater, an indoor gym, and an entertaining area with a dry bar on the lower level. Outside, a heated pool, a lit basketball court, and a playground will keep all ages amused. Maybe even the next future athlete.

Green isn’t the only athlete in town. Many sports professionals have settled down in Pinecrest, which is quiet but nice and close to Miami. MLB Baseball player David Ortiz listed his manse in 2023 for $12.5 million, while other NBA stars, including former Lakers player Lamar Odom and Jimmy Butler, have also sold real estate in the area.

Toni Schrager and Lauren Schrager of Brown Harris Stevens represented the sale.
