Baccarat has moved its exquisite crystals down the block to a spacious new double-front retail store at 635 Madison Avenue at 60th Street. A four-tier twirling chandelier greets guests entering the showroom with so many sparkly goods to choose among such as a crowned crystal Snoopy, Medici rings of crystal mounted in sterling silver, animal ice buckets and serene Buddha’s in clear and midnight crystal.
Before viewing the crystal sconces and light fixtures at the rear of the store, shoppers pass table settings, goblets in the multi-squared Nancy pattern and international bestseller Harcourt. The pattern created for French King Louis Philippe incorporates a red bead in the stem, a signature Baccarat feature evident (if you look closely) in every chandelier.
